Enrico Magli is a Full Professor at the Electronics and Telecommunications Department of Politecnico di Torino, and the President of ToothPic. He leads the IPL (Image Processing and Learning) group, performing research in the fields of machine learning, forensics and security, image and video processing and compression. He has been the Principal Investigator of the “CRISP” ERC Starting Grant project and the “ToothPic” ERC Proof-of-Concept project, with combined funding exceeding 1.5 M Euros; the ERC assigns grants to top-level scientists for frontier research projects. During his career, he has published more than 230 articles on international high-reputation journals, international conference papers, books or chapters of books, receiving more than 5000 citations. He is an IEEE Fellow and has been a Distinguished Lecturer of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. He has received several journal and conference best paper awards.
